The meaning of the icons before messagess

I have read the forum FAQ, but I haven't found explanation on what is the meaning of the icons before messages. Some of them are self explanatory, but I am confused with some of them, especially with animated ones. Is there explanations for the icons somewhere on the Internet?

You mean the circles? Red means unread topic (only shows if you're logged in), scrolling text inside it means hot topic I think.

Yes I mean circles, but there are many other icons (symbols), locked, light bulb, ... The meaning of some of them is unknown to me.
