No sound in debian 10.3

#1 Post by vinsent »

Hi guys  I am new to Debian. And recently he emigrated from Windows 7. Everything works fine in the system except for sound. There is no sound in the dynamics of my laptop. When I plug in my headphones, they have sound. Help me please :(

I tried to enter the command into the terminal and this is what I got:

vinsent@debian:~$ /usr/bin/amixer -c 0 sset "Auto-Mute Mode" Enabled
Simple mixer control 'Auto-Mute Mode',0
Capabilities: enum
Items: 'Disabled' 'Enabled'

Try installing the firmware-misc-nonfree package. [/stab in the dark]

EDIT: you did try 'alsactl init', right?

I tried installing firmware-misc-nonfree ... and nothing :(

vinsent@debian:~$ sudo alsactl init
Found hardware: "HDA-Intel" "Realtek ALC269VB" "HDA:10ec0269,10438437,00100100" "0x1043" "0x8437"
Hardware is initialized using a generic method
vinsent@debian:~$ And again, nothing :(

If you hear sound from headphones but not without, perhaps the contacts have worn out.

No, I'm sure everything is in order. On Windows 7, everything works well.

Maybe I am stating the obvious here, but I have had issues with sound before where the sound was turned all the way down and could not be controlled properly from the GUI.

From the terminal:

Code: Select all

$ alsamixer
Press F5 to see all, navigate with the arrow keys and turn all to the top with arrow up.

Any luck?

And one possibility more, laptop's function keys, does pressing mute, and unmuting do anything?

A sound appears when I move Headphone. And again it disappears after a reboot or when I insert the headphones :(
So I even made a screenshot:
