Cant loggin STUCK ON LOGIN

installed Debian no problem, and rebooted the system. Instead of going to the usual login place, I had to login in the command line. So I punched in my login name which I'd set up in the installation along with the password. It worked, but that's it - I can't get out of the command line!

Can you tell how did you install, what media did you use, where did you get it?

I got the install from the official Debian site, i think ik the problem tho, I am gonna reinstall windows and do sum testing on a vm from there

It's your choice to do what you want, but vm installation just makes things more complicated and harder to troubleshoot.
