I have firmware-realtek and r8168-dkms installed and updated. I did an apt-get upgrade yesterday.
- Code: Select all
dmesg | grep ethernet
I have the standard /etc/network/interfaces file (it comes with the new Debian installation I think), and it doesn't seem to have an effect (except that I cannot manually start networking.service unless all the eth0 entries in the file are commented out). The Debian documentation says that this file should no longer be used to configure the network, so I'm not focusing on it, but I can type up its contents if necessary.
