change popup text icon on taskbar yad

change popup text icon on taskbar yad

Postby peer » 2020-07-11 07:18

os debian testing kde
I run a daily backup script in the background.
In this script I have the command: "yad --notification --image="android-studio" --command="clicked=true'" &" which creates a icon on the taskbar when the script is running.

This works good but when I hove my mouse above the icon on the taskbar the following popup text is showing: "YAD".
I would like to change this text to "Backup is being made" or something like that.
How can I change this text??

http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/xenial/man1/yad.1.html#examples
The man page has a section on setting the tooltip for notifications.

Thanks for yor response.
I do not think that the solution can be found in the (many) options of YAD. I think KDE tells me what program is running the notification. So that is why I see the text "YAD" but that is what I would like to change.

I tried the options --title and --name in YAD but that did not do the trick
