Debian buster firewall

Postby ltheoret » 2021-01-12 15:57

Hi,
I am trying to monitor my Debian desktop running Debian Buster.
To monitor I am using NEMS on a raspberry pi, this is a network monitoring system.
I installed NRPE on both a rapberry pi running Raspbian Buster or raspberry pi OS and the NRPE works.
I installed NRPE on the debian desktop and disabled the ufw firewall and I gen an error on the monitoring pi:

"(No output on stdout) stderr: connect to address 10.0.0.5 port 5666: Connection refused

connect to host 10.0.0.5 port 5666: Connection refused"

Is this a firewall issue or is there additional security I don't know about?

Hi,

I must have done something wrong, its not the port must be something I installed that took control of the port but I don't know what.
