Hello,
Every time I install Debian 9 or 10 x64 from either the official Debian website version or launch it from a paid VPS (tried 2 of them, ovh and vultr)
I get these weird “@^@^@^” symbols populating my FailLog file, every single FRESH install.
They also are in Random places in other Log files just taking up whole lines, in. Auth logs and system boot logs…
Can somebody help explain this to me please as when I see this I assume the log files have been compromised but if it’s from an official Debian source, checksum verified, and tried with no connection to a wan or lan during install/boot
then how can this be? Why is the logs full or random @^@^ files.
Any help or advice would be very appreciated as it’s driving me to stop using Debian, and I don’t want that.
Thank you
I tried to upload to picture but it kept giving me an internal server error so I’ve uploaded it to a picture sharing website.
