Hello everyone,
I've just installed Debian 9 with Mate desktop.
There used to be a mate-system-tools in Jessie, but no more in Stretch, meaning there is no more gui tool to manage users (i used to be mate-users-admin).
Of course I could use the Gnome one, but I don't want to install Gnome stuff, and also it is much less refined (you cannot select groups for users).
Is there anyway to get it back ?
Thank you,
Denis

mate-system-tools missing in Stretch
Re: mate-system-tools missing in Stretch
Maybe you could try gnome-system-tools. Won't pull in much dependency in my xfce desktop. I haven't tested, but I imagine it'll work.
As for mate-system-tools, it's no longer part of the MATE desktop for a long time. Even before it was dropped by mainstream distributions it was unmaintained and broken for a long time.
