Problem with LVM during installation

Postby shmerl » 2010-09-20 01:42

Hi.
A friend of mine was trying to install Debian testing (i386) from Debian Live alpha2 image ( http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/squee ... esktop.iso )
During installation he set up LVM and created a volume group and several logical volumes for /, /swap and /var. But during installation, at around 98% the installer produced an error while "running partman-lvm.."

The log looked like:

Code: Select all
Sep 17 14:46:49 base-installer: cp: cannot stat '/etc/ppp/*-secrets': No such file or directory
Sep 17 14:46:49 base-installer: warning: /usr/lib/post-base-installer.d/30ppp returned error code 1

Sep 17 14:46:49 main-menu[386]: INFO: Menu item 'live-installer' succeeded but requested to be left unconfigured.

Do you know what it's about and how to fix it to complete the installation?

Thanks.
