Hi. I'm having problems with my Plantronics headset.

I wanna listen to music and chat to my friends, but no sound goes through.

This is output from my terminal (force-reload and reload of alsa):

What could the problem be? :(

I use Debian 6.0 with no additional drivers installed, as I thought it would install automatically. My motherboard is an MSI 45NM Core 2 ready board. I have Core 2 Duo installed, at 2.8GHz each. 3gigabytes of RAM and 500gigabytes of diskspace. Also, I am new to Debian.

ALC888 is supported in these drivers at (It contails Gears drivers too.):
http://www.realtek.com/downloads/
select last option.

I have the same hardware with the same issues. I rarely use it though so never really tried that hard to fix it. Sorry that does not help you much but I guess it is what it is. Just keep at it. Persistence pays in the Open Source world.
