Unstable has pipewire 0.3.36 compared to the 0.2.something that Debian 11 has. Keepnote was last updated in 2012. http://keepnote.org/ Yes I understand losing apps that you use daily sucks, there are most likely apps that are similar. Yes, noticed the same when investigating. The same has occurred many times, confusion here was for example when mysql was replaces by mariadb. ...

Also keepnote was removed, or replaced by cherrytree.

Luckily enough, cherfytree was able to import keepnote files.

Re: New printer form app/browsers, imposition...

The funny thing is when i press Ctrl+P, it shows the OS default Printer GUI, i wonder why is yours different. :x I'm not sure if that changes much, but i didn't use a live install like you did. I used a netinstall ISO and installed everything i want/need by terminal, even the DE i'm using right now...

Re: New printer form app/browsers, imposition...

Can you print at all, from any 'app'? What is the make and model of your printer? I assume it is a usb printer, when you put t on, open terminal and post the output of command lsusb No answer to your question, but if the printer is not configured right, it surely can't print from any gui programan.

Re: ThinkPad T14 gen 2 screen dimming issue

I had also the white screen problem on my previous notebook, Samsun NC-10. It was a hw problem, but before I realized that I did bind the brightness key t o a xrandr script.

Try to check your power save settings also, how soon is the display dimmed.

Re: Problems with NetworkManager

Some years ago I had similar issues with network manager and wpa_supplicant. I purged network-manager, and have avoided that ever since.

Here have been many threads recently about wifi issues. There are many options also without network manager.

Hello!

I don't use kde, gnome or iMac, but xfce. Try clicking with right button, if you see some menu, There might be configure or something like.

Try that first. There are other ways, using command line.

Some how seems you are trying to do things much too complicate.

For me printing from Firefox(-esr) has never been any issue, Ctrl-p works, can print from terminal also.

BTW, a computer that never moves, such as a desktop tower, only needs one connection. In this case configuring /etc/network/interfaces is all that is needed. I'm typing this on a computer that does not have a network GUI and the connection is flawless. Not even /etc/network/interfaces is needed, wh...

5E should be fine, but gIgabit transfer needs all the pairs connected. If you don't have a cable tester, rotate cables and see if one would give the full speed.

If you buy a very new computer, it might be Debian will not support all devices. The Bullsey was just released, so situation is a bit better. Good to read the relase-notes https://www.debian.org/releases/stable/releasenotes But if you have a choice, I would try on a bit older computer. If you have a...
