vim and finnish spellcheck
Since vim 7 has had it's own spellcheck. Finnish language was not supported, so Teemu Likonen wrote vimchant (available at vim.org), but it has not been maintained, and does not work anymore. To get finnish spellcheck to work with vim 9,0 which Debian 12 has, install pacakage tmispell-voikko and get...

Re: Which laptop do YOU run Debian on?
I have a Dell Latitude 3340, I use Xfce, and no any problems to suspend or to resume. @lewulff's points are good. I have been so impressed of this laptop, so I think when this dies next one be Dell also.

That's not a Debian problem, you should ask the flatpak version author/s.

Re: [Software] Programmatically enable Numlock key on boot?
I have also used numlockx, works well in X, but to enable right on boot, check first the BIOS/UEFI settings, most of my computers as this laptop have option to set numlock on. This option does exist in my BIOS, and it's enabled (was already enabled long before I bought a mechanical keyboard). Howev...

Re: Wired connection stops working after a while
Test if net works if you remove completely the switch. Switches only multiple signal to one port to all other ports, I have not used managed switches, but I would guess they can do some grouping etc. And you asked suggested replacement for your wifi-router, if it is working, would not change. Only e...

Re: Wired connection stops working after a while
Generally, what works in windows often does not work with Linux, In your case I would just be happy to find a working solution, I think I gave the answer in my previous posts in the thread. And there is no sense to connect the switch first, I am not sure if you even need that switch. It somehow conf...

Are you using nouveau or nvidia? I'd suggest also trying live images, if it seems same, or some other DE that would seem at least tolerable.
