Wine question
I have squeeze amd64 and thinking about installing wine to run a few small windows apps.
My question is, can I run 32bit windows apps through Wine with my 64bit setup?

Re: windows 32 & linux 64
Wow, I didn't think this question would generate so much discussion. To clairify why I wanted to install 32bit windows and 64bit Debian is because Windows in its infinite wisdom wont let me install the 64bit version for whatever reason. (I really dont care to have windows installed at all, but i sti...

Re: HOWTO Requests
Im looking for a how-to to create a local apt repository, with all the available apt commands.
Ive been through the documentation, and it is telling me that it it an outdated document.
just a revision on the documentation would be great.
[Edit]
OK, ive found the new documentation in the wiki.

Re: empathy/facebook
Just tried again to get it running last night. In Empathy, I chose for Facebook protocol, added username@chat.facebook.com and my password and got it working within 2 minutes. I think you may have forgotten the @chat.facebook.com part? No, Ive tried that. Pidgin is working good enough for me. (Even...

Re: empathy/facebook
Are you using the FB plugin or straight XMPP? XMPP is what should be used and is fully supported. You can get the "play-by-play" from the FB chat setup page[1] [1] http://www.facebook.com/sitetour/chat.php seems like alot of work considering i got pidgin working in less than 5 min. thanks...

Hide Windows folders from Debian
I'm looking for a way to hide Windows system folders, in Debian, on a USB hard drive, while not changing the name so that windows can still access them normally.
I want to do this because I've recently reconfigured my system to run dual OS, XP & Debian 5.0.2, and they share the USB drive.

terminal crashing xfce
I've read here something before about someone having this issue, and now it seems that I am, and now I cant find the post that I seen it in.
Does anyone know why this is happening? It seems to have started after I started to do a apt-get upgrade.
Or can someone just point me in the right direction.

I cant design a web page to save my life. Everything I create looks like the Debian site. (thats not a bad thing) Simple and fast, hardly any graphics. Good for CLI browsers.
