Debian Jessie, iPod Classic 160GB, same problem. As far as I remember, it has worked in the past, during Wheezy testing phase.

I was surprised too, but admitting that there're no resources to backport security fixes is a bit sad, IMHO.

I'on a Win7 workstation, at work, with no access to USB nor CD/DVD burner, and of course behind a proxy. This is the only way I will be able to install debian (or Ubuntu with Wubi, which I do not want to). If you can think another way to install debian, I will be glad to try.
