Re: Can't install backported fglrx-driver on 3.14
It's not yet compatible with the 3.14 kernel. The current version in Sid is patched to work with the 3.14 kernel. You can directly install the debs from Sid in wheezy with gdebi without problems, I tested that before backporting them myself to the MEPIS 12 community repo. Or you could install the b...

DKMS make.log for fglrx-13.12 for kernel 3.14-0.bpo.1-686-pae (i686) Fri Jul 25 09:28:27 CDT 2014 make: E...

I like xfce 4.8.3 in wheezy with the whisker menu. If I'm on old hardware then I like Blackbox.

Re: What's a good graphics card for Debian?
What graphics card are you returning? Perhaps elaborate on "I had trouble working with on Debian stable"...? "Supported" usually means "supported by a proprietary Linux driver". nvidia corp like to pretend that the nouveau driver doesn't even exist. It was an ati radeo...

Re: Annoying as hell problem with flash on Debian Wheezy
Can you try the 3.9 kernel from backports - just in case it is a bug in the radeon driver/dri? Have you checked bug reports e.g. for xserver-xorg-video-radeon, xserver-xorg-core, flashplugin-nonfree...? //edit: By the way, I'm sure that youtube supports HTML5 - so no need for the flash crapware... ...

Annoying as hell problem with flash on Debian Wheezy
This happens at total random (and happens often enough that it's making me yell at the computer in pure rage) but when I'm watching a youtube video, it randomly dedcides to lock up on me. Can't exit full screen mode, the video freezes, the audio freezes, EVERYTHING FREEZES! I use the flashplayer-non...

Re: How do I add a clock to dwm?
Yes but they involved editing a xinitrc (which I do not have) or some download link that is clearly not a patch, (patches are in .diff format) which lack any kind of documentation on how to install it what so ever, and only by trying to figure it out just causes compilation issues for dwm.
