Try changing the theme. Better yet switch to LightDM. That's what I did.

Re: Setting up a Qemu for MsWin Os
Is this a remote guest? Why are you trying to use VNC? Although no MS stuff I do run a couple guests locally for testing etc. I run them in full screen on a virtual desktop one at a time.

Re: Intel NUC8 Remote Blank Screen
I had to search for this "ConnectWise Control" having never heard of it. This is a pay for application and they told you they have no idea what's going on?????? There are several, well documented and free methods of connecting to or starting and viewing a remote X server in Linux why would...

Re: Direct conversion of audio files on CD
Streaming is an excellent solution if you can afford the cost of bandwidth/cell data. Data plans here in Canada are a lot more expensive then they are in the U.S. Even if you were to use a lossy codec the costs add up quickly.

Re: Direct conversion of audio files on CD
CD's? WoW! I don't think I own anything that will take a CD any more. Might be something in the garage .
I think .wav is the default with most rippers if you don't interfere in any way. IDK it's been so long since I've even looked at a CD.

Re: Using VirtualBox for building Linux from Scratch
I cannot offer any guidance with LFS but it doesn't matter whether it's in a VM or on actual hardware it's going to take up space. If your already approaching a full disk your going to have problems. To build your going to need space for all the sources and the OS build itself. It will get quite lar...

Re: Adding PPA?
As I understand it DockbarX is not a dock/Panel but a plugin to replace the "Window Buttons" plugin in XFCE4. I don't use either but I think it just list open windows rather than taking up space on the panel side by side.

Re: Touchpad, Xorg and Tapping on Buster with libinput.
I have been using libinput for some time now and never had an issue. Mine is an Elan though. One thing I do want to mention is, in my bios there is a setting for the touchpad, basic and advanced I believe. With the basic setting I lose some of the functionality like 2-finger scroll so I keep it at a...

They were likely there. By modprobe'ing you loaded them lsmod would have listed them if they were loaded.

Re: Cannot install anbox
Yes the 5..... kernels should have the modules built in but for me they were not loaded. You can check with lsmod if not just modprobe ashmem_linux and modprobe_binder_linux.Scorpion wrote: I am using a 5 kernel, usually 5 kernels have those modules, how can I check?
