Re: system gradually slows down and eventually stops

@ OP: I suspect problem is the "tracker-miner" Gnome thingy, a while ago I was using Gnome as my DE and it made my system very sluggish when it was running, I had to disable it to make system usable again! Do you have a swap partition on your system & how much space is it? It's your CP...

Testing the final before release to the mirrors. Such good news to read. Music to my ears. It's like Christmas in August. I for one want to say the following: This is one-hell-of-an accomplishment. Thank you to everyone who worked on this project: every day, every hour, every moment. Thank you for ...

On the other hand, someone from India gained access to my Netflix account, I don't know how they obtained my password, if anyone has an idea please tell me, I had to change my password to a stronger one! Your password was rubbish and it was bruteforced. Yeah, that could be an explanation, but I thi...

Re: CPU overheats while backups are running

@OP: Hi, a couple of suggestions, check the thermal grease of your CPU & check that your CPU fan is working & free of dust, if you can check these out then IMHO it's a software problem not a hardware one, good luck!

Re: Can't burn DVD-2.iso or DVD-3.iso using Rufus or Universal USB Installer

@ zoltan: You can get an USB Ethernet Lan adapter on sites like ebay, look for the ones that says in the description that works with linux, I bought one just in case an it works fine on debian, they're very cheap and let you connect to the internet and download the necessary drivers for your wireles...

Re: Is there a printer suported list there?

Hi in my experience you can get Linux drivers for some Epson Canon brother and usually HP printers the majority of HP printers doesn't need drivers, generally when I go buy a printer I look in the support pages of the printer to see if there's any drivers for Linux and then I buy it, the printer I'm...

Re: Kedeha's Conjecture?

I guess a lot of "new to debian" users think about debian testing or sid this way: "Debian testing or Sid equals to opensuse tumbleweed or arch linux", until they are hit with the realization they are not the same thing, then the whining and the rants begins!
