Re: crontab help please.
Thank you!
The following worked:
#!/bin/bash
export DISPLAY=:0
end=$((SECONDS+30))
while [ $SECONDS -lt $end ]; do
/usr/bin/scrot '/home/me/ss/%y-%m-%d-%S.png'
sleep 10
done
It would be nice if it did not BEEP!
This crontab line worked:
* * * * * /var/www/bash/ssloop.sh >/dev/null 2>&1

Re: remote connect to debian 10 advice
Simpler to use x11vnc: https://packages.debian.org/buster/x11vnc Information here will give you what you need, even though it is a little dated: https://www.dbts-analytics.com/ll4ntw1.html And if for some reason you have to deal with wayland, though you shouldn't with XFCE: https://www.dbts-analyti...

Re: RDP to Raspberry Pi from Debain 10
RDP? You must be kidding - are You working for Microshit? -> change the job ASAP (even Microshit had admit that they can't handle this crap ... ) RDP is probably the most insecure protocol used today (probably - because I don't know anything less secure, but I can be wrong ...) Thank for the post! ...

Re: Debain EDU
Wow! I install skolelinux and it worked the first time through but was very slow.
We were able to use a pxe boot to a xfce4 gui.
We installed it on a single machine with 16GB of ram.
We plan on setting up a Server and a LTSP server on two separate machines.
