Re: [Software] Samba 4.17.12-Debian vfs_recycle problem (touch_mtime does not work)
Have you compared the Samba configuration files between the working and non-working installations using a tool such as diff from diff3 to see if there are any relevant differences?

Re: USB-C to HDMI stopped working after restart
Hello,
Can you please report the output of the lsubs command?
Can you send the URL of its user manual ?
Did the USB-C to HDMI come with a kernel module (driver)?
When was the last time it worked?
May you analyse / share the file named /var/log/apt/history.log ?

Re: Timeshift language not translating to norwegian
Hello, After looking around a bit on github I found that the file included with timeshift did indeed have an only partial translation. [..] So I'm not sure if this is the right place to translate it or not, but if not I will just have to copy/paste my translations to where they need to be later You ...

Re: XFCE: can I load the nvidia-drm.ko kernel module before the X server is started?
Hello,
I assume that the nvidia-drm.ko kernel module is already loaded before the X server is started with the nvidia proprietary kernel module. Why do you think it is not?

Re: Debian 11 bullseye in additional AWS region ap-south-2 Hyderabad
Hello, Update with resolution. I emailed one of the Debian Developers that I found on the debian-cloud email Distro. This person was super helpful/responsive and here is what they found. There is an option in the AWS Marketplace Management Dashboard to "automatically copy to new regions" f...

Re: [Software] Samba 4.17.12-Debian vfs_recycle problem (touch_mtime does not work)
Hello, According to your log, every attempt to access the file in the vfs_recycle samba bin generates this error: /srv/samba/.trash/./del2.txt' failed: NT_STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND This error comes from the smbd daemon. I don't actually know if the ./ (dot-slash) is a valid path naming convention...

Re: [Software] Samba 4.17.12-Debian vfs_recycle problem (touch_mtime does not work)
Hello, Currently there aren't any bug reports about this in the Debian Bug tracking system. You can try debugging by increasing samba's debug level to 10 and checking the logs for messages from the vfs_recycle module. As an example, a specific message is written to the samba log when recycle_touch_m...

Re: [HowTo] Repeat official building process
Hello, [..] the task is to have our own installation media, signed and rebuild internally (which i clearly indicated at the initial question), with our own customizations. Re: [HowTo] Repeat official building process
Hello, I have no idea, actually. Re: Raspberry Pi questions re GPIO support in Debian
Hello, 1. Raspbian has a "device tree", and this is used in the construction of a wide variety of "overlays" which expose both general and specialized GPIO functions. Does the Debian installation for Raspberry Pi have that device tree functionality and overlays available? No, acc...
