Re: RSS GLX screensavers not working on Bullseye

I still get the "not installed" message in the screensaver window on the RSS-GLX screensavers. Because of your tip, I did noticed that /usr/lib/xscreensaver has 263 files and /usr/libexec/xscreensaver has 240 files. I'm going to copy the missing files to /usr/libexec/xscreensaver and see i...

Thanks for responding. Thanks so much for the tip! Here is part of what happened after I ran your command: '/usr/libexec/xscreensaver/crackberg' -> '/usr/lib/xscreensaver/crackberg' '/usr/libexec/xscreensaver/cube21' -> '/usr/lib/xscreensaver/cube21' '/usr/libexec/xscreensaver/cubenetic' -> '/usr/li...

Yes. RSS-GLX is installed. Maybe it's a bug.

[resolved] RSS GLX screensavers not working on Bullseye

The RSS GLX screensavers worked on Buster. These screensavers do not work on Bullseye. When scrolling through the xscreensaver list it says "not installed" after upgrading to Bullseye. I've done the usual commands to reinstall but still the same issue. Any ideas?

Re: Does gdebi ( the gdebi-gtk GUI) work for anybody on Bust

I have two Buster installations. On XFCE gdebi works fine if you start it from the menu, but crashes if started by right clicking on a .deb file. On KDE it won't start at all. Interesting. Didn't know it would work if you run gdebi from the start menu. I've been installing debs from the command lin...

Re: Is there any way to remove screensaver names from the me

I can't double check with no system using it now, but with xscreensaver check: xml file from usr/share/xscreensaver/config or ~/.xscreensaver that contain a line like: - GL: gluqlo -root \n\ One line per, add or delete the lines you want. Any upgrade to the main or optional packages may wipe out yo...

Is there any way to remove screensaver names from the menu?

Is there any way to remove screensaver names from the xscreensaver menu? Say for instance if I only want to see 15 screensavers on the menu instead of 100. Is there any way for the unwanted screensavers to not be shown in the xscreensaver menu? I'm using Buster and XFCE. Thanks! https://i.stack.imgu...

I started to post this issue here. Hopefully they fix this error soon. I'm using XFCE I emailed Debian's tech support and knew that this isn't the correct way to report this issue below: Debian Bug Tracking System <owner@bugs.debian.org> 7:09 AM (12 hours ago) to me Your message didn't have a Packag...

[Resolved] Sound not working after Buster upgrade

Audio works during a live Buster session? This is a fully fresh install, not an upgraded Stretch? When the live install menu comes up, I picked speech synthesis and I heard speech during the install. This was an upgrade from Stretch to Buster. I ended up doing a fresh install and I have sound now. ...

Re: Sound not working after upgrade from Stretch to Buster

Pavucontrol looks normal. I'm going to boot a Debian 10 live DVD and see if I can get sound from it. I booted a Debian 10 live DVD and when running the installer with speech synthesis, I hear sound. So, I know this means my sound card works. No sound when doing a speaker test. speaker-test -c2 -l 1 ...

Re: Thunderbird buttons in preferences are not displaying v6

The Ubuntu 60.0-0 version does not appear to have this issue. I tried a live cd of Mint 18.3 XFCE 64 bit and installed Thunderbird 60.0-0 and the buttons in preferences look normal. I think the version that was recently pushed out for Debian is really a beta version. The Debian version is 60.0-3 whi...
