Re: Accesability applet

It is application "kaccessibleapp" That seems to rely on /usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.kde.kaccessible.service so perhaps see https://askubuntu.com/questions/843076/how-to-blacklist-a-d-bus-service Too be honest, I don't know anything about XML. I cannot understand how to block the execu...

Re: Accesability applet

What starts exactly? Is it just the plasmoid in the panel? You can remove plasmoids. Right click on panel, select Edit Panel, then hover over what you want to remove and a popup should appear with remove option. It is application "kaccessibleapp", and its icon is part of the system tray. ...

Can we see the exact message? Your line looks okay to me.
The line is OK, except that the ${i%m4a}wav should be in double quotes.
Could you give me example how this job can be done by find command. I want to learn new things. Thanks.

Re: Simple question about bash

However, there is a very good Bash script out there for converting various sound files to flac: https://www.legroom.net/software/convtoflac I suggest you download it and study it. It's safe to use, by the way: I use it almost daily. Firefox tells me that legroom.net is not safe to browse. Do you ha...

I am not so good in bash, so I have simple question. I have some music in ALAC (m4a) files, distributed in sub directories (albums). I want to convert them in FLAC. I am trying something like this: for i in */*.m4a; do ffmpeg -i "$i" ${i%m4a}wav; done to convert them in WAV format, but exp...

Re: Is it possible to install gcstar on buster

Latest release version appears to be 4 1/2 years old. Your best bet would be to get it from Git and build it as there seems to be at least a little development there. No, I don't want to use it just for one release of Debian, I want long term solution. Does Debian contains package for cataloguing s...

No, I am not using a proxy or VPN. I suppose that there are spammers from my ISP and that some addresses are blocked. I don't have other explanation.

Re: Bug in nouveau driver

I have found some tutorials on Internet, but what is surprising I cannot access Debian Wiki Pages. For example:
https://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers
Browser tells me that I don't have rights to access this page. The same is for other Debian Wiki pages.
Does somebody else have this problem?

I have installed bullseye and tried to suspend to ram. The screen goes black, but power is still on. After installing the nvidia driver the problem has gone. Re: No network connection

Re: cannot play extracted aac file

A backported version of Clementine from upstream Debian also refuses to play aac files, with the addition of an error dialog that says it's not recognized as a valid aac file. The same goes for a Strawberry 0.7.2 AppImage. The issue doesn't seem to appear as a bug in Debian, though. Can You report ...
