Load onedrive-d on startup

I have installed and configured onedrive-d on Stretch. However, it does not start automatically every time the machine boots. I have to run the command:

Code: Select all

onedrive-d start
How can I make it load automatically?

Thanks in advance.

It now works on Stretch (stable) after updating the kernel to linux-image-4.13.0-0.bpo.1-amd64 via backports.

the value testing is invalid for apt::default-release

For quite a few days, I have been getting this error when trying to execute aptitude:
the value testing is invalid for apt::default-release as such a release is not available in the sources
Is this normal? Will it go away after some while when something is resolved?

Thanks in advance.

Citrix Receiver not working

I have Citrix Receiver for web 13.4 on my Jessie Stable. There was no connection problem until lately (about a week or two). Now, after I input credentials on Firefox, I see the Citrix connection box, with a blue progress bar inside, shows for a fraction of a second and apparently Citrix cannot laun...

Re: apt-get autoremove removes lot of packages: why & what n

Thanks all of you for the help!

As Head_on_a_Stick suggested, aptitude is our friend. I took some time in reading the Debian documentation on aptitude and used it to get the packages back! Have learnt a good lesson.

Re: apt-get autoremove removes lot of packages: why & what n

Thanks Head_on_a_Stick and cronoik. I have gone through the log. The only suspects may be xserver-xorg-video-intel (which I upgraded to the Jessie-backports version) and linux-image (which I upgraded for several versions from Jessie-backports), but I'm not sure. Any suggestions? Also, I can see that...

[Resolved] apt-get autoremove removes lot of packages: why .

Without going into the package list, I just used apt-get autoremove and it removed a lot of packages. Now, it seems that many of those packages are actually useful to me. :? Here is what /var/log/apt/history.log tells me: Start-Date: 2016-06-11 23:01:48 Commandline: apt-get autoremove Remove: telepa...

Re: Can't adjust the screen brightness using Fn keys??

I have no experience on KDE. But you may want to take a look at this thread:

http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?t=107921

The user added only "acpi_backlight=vendor" to the grub line.

Administrator's access to a normal user's home directory

In my recent installations of Debian stable release (Jessie) with Gnome and Cinnamon respectively, I added my wife as a normal user. A home directory was created automatically for her. In these installations, I am able to access her home directory, while, in the past, I was not allowed to access her...

Re: Can't adjust the screen brightness using Fn keys??

What desktop environment are you using?

For me, on the installation with Gnome, the Fn keys for brightness adjustment works out of the box. However, on another installation with Cinnamon, I got only three levels instead of seven that I should have.

Re: Two installations of Debian (Jessie) on same HD?

The issue arose because the UUID of the swap partition changed as a result of the second installation of Linux on the same drive. Updating the UUID in /etc/fstab will fix it.

To get the UUID of the swap partition, use the blkid command.

Thanks Garry.

That's a typo. Have corrected it just now. Sorry about that.

I now change my DE to Gnome as well. Will see if that makes any difference.
