Re: Forum and server updates - Moving, fixes, and new admins.

[*]SSL (HTTPS!!) enabled. Thanks for TLS. Been waiting for that since 2019, when I left the forum to come back only once this is complete. Well done. However, I'd like to point out that https://debian.net/ redirects to https://www.debian.org/ with error. Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead Firef...

Re: X server crashing when browser open

I just updated to version 3.20191218.1 (sid) from old 3.20181128.1 (buster). I am experiencing freezes (1-2 times per week, computer is on 16 hours per day). I also have N...

Re: [SOLVED] VirtualBox RDP authentication issue

Solved - used DDNS on the router, SSH server with EdDSA key (no password) opened to the world, on client side: PuTTY SSH authenticated with EdDSA key, with SSH tunnel to transfer RDP traffic from remote server to a localhost, then RDP viewer to connect to localhost:port (PuTTY brings traffic to loca...

Re: Use HTTPS

Can some admin seriously answer the question, what the f*ck is wrong with this forum? no TLS in 2019? Is someone stuck in 90's or something?

Debian 10 Buster installed, upgraded from MX Linux based on Stretch. Finally, absolutely everything works out of the box in Debian, no tinkering or workarounds are needed. Debian really has become stable in recent years. Excited to be Debian user!

Re: Some questions for a newbie to Debian 10

Hi. I am also migrating to Debian 10, from other distro based on Debian. Probably I will do it this weekend, can't wait for Buster. My tips: 1. Can't help here much, VLC works for me on everything I ever watch 2. Download various Live CD images and try them for yourself before installing it on your ...
