Re: [Resolved]pipewire: Failed to receive portal pid: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NameHasNoOwner: Could not get PID of n>
True I don’t have an Audio problem. What I have not said is that I am trying to clear all the “Important” error msgs shown in gnome-logs on a new install of Debian 11.6. You just gave me a clue though, I assume you meant “mask pipewire” and “mask pulseaudio” was just a typo, so;- $ sudo systemctl ma...

Hi,
F.Y.I I have just installed Debian 11.6 (Bullseye), in this version Pipewire is installed by default.

Re: [Solved] Canon PIXMA 5550 - scan/forward to PC
If you don't do a desktop icon you will end up running scangear from a terminal, works but unnecessary. If you are not sure about creating the icon, there is a long how-to by some guy at;- https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=251736&sid=d11bc72342485f87719f28250cccb226 Mint is r...

Re: Canon PIXMA 5550 - scan/forward to PC
The Canon Scangear driver for Linux does not support "Scan>Forward to PC option from the operation panel" so sadly it will never work. It is best to create a desktop icon and run scan to PC from there. Even the very latest TS5050 will not scan to PC by using the printer front panel control...
