See, this why I need notes!
I had run across this a year back when I had an itch to try some KDE. The itch is gone. I thought of trying a ~/profile invocation of the agent as user...no need.
The fragmentation continues...

Re: [Installation] Installing radar omega

Looks interesting. As a paid app outside of the usual Debian repository this is outside our scope. No quick way to test... Usually an appimage need to be manual marked as executable. I am in the habit of placing appimages in usr/local/bin, mark them as executable, then create a link to the original ...

OTOH, the graphics resolution is lower than auto-resize. Also, while it uses more of the available space than standard view, a fair amount of real estate still goes unused, at least on my wide screen monitor For all of those issues, set the guest resolution the same as the real host desktop, set dp...

Re: on the interest of using powershell core on Linux ?

My question is not intended to be a MS vs Linux post Think of it in terms of spoken language. If you work for an english based company stationed in another country where most all employees and the locale, because of the companies presence, all speak english, then you could get away with speaking on...

enable auto-resize Both virt-viewer and virt-manager console view have 'View>Scale Display>Always' where the guest is oblivious to the change...? I tend to leave guest alone so that wherever and however they are viewed, the viewer does the job - like scaling a video. Actually, virt-viewer has no se...

And that’s when I suddenly remembered: Very good. [reSolved] I try to note even the smallest tweaks in my CherryTree, I forget too. I think you can configure it to pull together log locations at shutdown with a --sync if you'd like. Btw, add your user to 'adm' or 'systemd-journal' to eliminate the ...

Remove that and try again. As @sunrat suggest, now the directory exist.

Re: KVM virt-manager gemu bridged network?

Well, sorry.
I didn't mean to install any extra.

macvtap is available within the virt-manager UI already.

The interface in the host needs no configuration at all, unless you also want to use it in the host.

Re: KVM virt-manager gemu bridged network?

Technically speaking, Xfce proper does not include any network gui.

depending on needs, macvtap works well. Virt-manager can set that, there is no cli network management needed unless something changes.

Re: [Installation] [Solved]Can't shutdown or reboot from XFCE on a new install

Let's bear in mind, folks, this doesn't establish that root vs sudo was the problem Actually that was not the question or the point. As I said, I've never duplicated the issue. Shutdown is a root action no matter how we flavor it. We know there are a few ways to get there. In the dozen or so post a...

Sure. I have never replicated the issue so have never traced out a solution. You could try some of the ideas in that thread, or start over.

I also did not set a root password during install. A search may yield this issue comes up every few months and the lack of a root account is always a common element. I've jumped into a few of those post, citing permission issues, and can't recall the outcomes. Found an example: https://forums.debia...

Re: Do Radeon GPUs work better than nVidia with Linux?

Maybe. I think the criteria may be too broad. A particular may be better than another, neither speaking for the whole. Bottom line, my 750Ti under nouveau has demonstrated nearly perfect uptime for the last 5+ years. Many other examples 'work' better. None are close to perfectly stable. Just this mo...

I had a similar issue with watching a simple youtube video on a VM through a VPN. It worked without the VPN or it worked with downloaded video. I fixed it by upping the RAM cache for that VM. I don't know if you have tried that. I'm a beginner so I'm not sure if this is the best answer. Good answer...

Re: virt-manager

This is a vlc question more than a virt-manager issue. The title should be more like 'vlc iptv performance in virtual machines'.

Despite working out all the details of vm performance, my first recommendation would be to use mpv instead.

I can't comment on default 11 or a fresh 12! When I run across it, I fix it, then forget... All my mixes are upgrades and all seem to be the same; /run/log/journal/ is empty /var/log/journal/ holds the persistent logs /etc/systemd/journald.conf default settings (no changes) /etc/systemd/journald.con...

Does the line appear during boot, viewable in an OEM logo or the bios screen or even grub, to determine if it's a hardware defect?
