Really not fussing about anything, just tossing an idea out there; I think it would make things easier, most people disagreed. I don't get to win all the time, just ask my wife

Re: my gib ethernet just use 100mbps [PROBLEM]

Outstanding. Congratulations! I was wrong about bus speed, Marie SWE was right. I got educated today on how PCI-E works and now that I think about it my bus speed theory was a bit ridiculous. Gonna leave it up because people replied to it but my whole argument was a little embarrassing :) Short vers...

Re: Debian with Windows bootloader

Install EasyBCD on the Windows machine. When you install Debian put grub on the linux partition and not on the master boot record. Go back to Windows and use EasyBCD to add Linux to your Windows boot manager. Once set up correctly Windows' boot manager will chainload grub instead of the other way ar...

Re: Look forward to Debian 12 "Bookworm"!

Before I give it a try, can someone enlighten me how to remove the Experimental repo and return the Linux kernel to 5.10 if things go awry? As craigevil mentioned, not recommended. But - Sid and Bullseye are running the same kernel and I'm running 5.13 on Sid so it *should* work on Bullseye. Instal...

I think some of this is overkill, bester :) 0.- Fix DNS with porn parental control : edit resolv.conf with CleanBrwosing DNS No problems here. 1.- Mount all not system devices with forbidden execute permissions, so they cant run any autoexecutable applications like Appimage mount /tmp folder with no...

Default is a minimum five day wait for a package to transition from Unstable to Testing. Give it a couple more days :)

Re: Look forward to Debian 12 "Bookworm"!

I have had probably 200 or so things update. A lot of them seem to just be one version number higher if that. So far nothing that has anything show up in apt-listbugs or apt-listchanges. I've seen one - but I have apt-listbugs set to report important and higher. I'm extra careful in the days after ...
