Re: Creative Pebble V3 not working with Debian 11 stable

Hello, It looks like a hardware issue: the device is not recognized at all, according to the output you sent. Hi, thank you for your reply. The speakers work fine with the same PC on the Windows 10 partition, so I'd say they are not the problem. I suspect the USB-C to USB-A adapter but I don't have...

Creative Pebble V3 not working with Debian 11 stable

Hi, I bought a pair of speakers from Creative, the Creative Pebble V3 and they are not working with my Debian 11 stable. I tried to check the output of lsusb but it's not encouraging: manuel@thinkcentre:~$ lsusb Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub Bus 004 Device 004: ID 0b...

Re: HDMI audio not working after system suspend

Perhaps we are not using suspend in the same context. Suspend means (at least to me) to write the contents of RAM to disk and put the system to sleep. If you have power connected full time, then it's simpler to just put the display to sleep and keep the system running. This is not the same as suspe...

There is no "Debian 11".
You are correct, I was referring to Debian Bullseye, currently in testing.

Re: Use HTTPS

It is not that big of a deal, and yes the same could apply to saying FDN instead of Forums Debian Net. These acronyms , chat speak, etc, all make it much harder for those that do not speak / write English, and when they put the text into a translator, it does not translate well. Back to the https i...

Re: HDMI audio not working after system suspend

Hi and thank you both for your replies. Do you really need to suspend? That's really only necessary on a laptop running on battery power. For a machine running on mains it seems to be more trouble than it's worth. Well, with suspend I can keep all my programs open, otherwise I'd have to save and clo...

HDMI audio not working after system suspend

Hi, On my Debian 11 with XFCE I usually use the HDMI audio output for sounds, since there are a couple of small speakers on it. Everything works fine, until I suspend the system. After that I can only play sound on the internal speaker of my PC (it is a small thinkcentre desktop), sometimes any audi...
