[Software] Boot stopped with new kernel 5.10.0-19-amd64
When I try to boot I get:
Also on safety mode I cannot logging, just see more verbose timeouts.
If I select on Grub 5.10.0-18-amd64 it works again. Any idea of how can I fix it?

Re: Missing atheros firmware on 11.3.0
If your hardware works, what difference does it make? It makes a subtle but important difference. I took the effort to write a post, even though my hardware works since I also want to contribute to making Debian better. I know many users (including software engineers) are afraid of Debian installat...

Re: Missing atheros firmware on 11.3.0
@Head_on_a_Stick if those are not important, shouldn't Debian ignore them instead of making an error for the end-user? This can be very frustrating for a person trying to install for the first time.

Missing atheros firmware on 11.3.0
I just downloaded the latest image debian-11.3.0-amd64-DVD-1.iso, and unpacked extra firmware from https://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/unofficial/non-free/firmware/bullseye/11.3.0/ Even after that, two missing files still are missing: ath10k/pre-cal-pci-0000:02:00.0.bin ath10k/cal-pci-0000:02:00.0.bi...

Hey, how do we close the thread in this forum? This is already on Debian stable. So we can close it.

Re: Bullseye bluetooth mouse CAN'T auto-reconnect
It seems to me this behavior is not intended (once the device is trusted), maybe I should create a bug, not sure where.. maybe it is on bluez.

Re: Bullseye bluetooth mouse CAN'T auto-reconnect
You can try to use bluetoothctl to do that. It has interactive shell, so it is easy to do it. Type devices to print known devices then run trust <dev> , you can use tab completion. For example my devices are Device 04:1B:6D:74:0A:1A LG K10 (2017) So I would need to run trust 04:1B:6D:74:0A:1A Unfor...

Bullseye bluetooth mouse CAN'T auto-reconnect
Hi, I bought a bluetooth mouse for my Debian computer and when it sleeps or reboots, the connection is lost so I have to reconnect every time using the keyboard. I read the documentation of Debian's bluetooth https://wiki.debian.org/BluetoothUser and it says it is needed to run a command to add it a...

Re: Any way to have Firefox ESR-91?
I believe also ESR is the right choice for the distro and was just asking if there are news regarding updates in the repos. I also believe, that like me, people posting a topic in this forum expect a community of serious people to be constructive and mature in their replies.

Any way to have Firefox ESR-91?
I've seen from Firefox 83 on (https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2020/11/17/firefox-83-introduces-https-only-mode/), there is HTTPS-only mode, so extension HttpEverywhere (apt: webext-https-everywhere) is not needed anymore. Latest Firefox ESR today is 91 (since beginning of August 2021). Is there a ...

Re: Run systemctl on Debian 11 Docker gets "Failed to connect to bus"
Hello, In the previous message, it appears that you are installing systemd in a debian installation. This is quite unusual, because systemd is the default init system and it's a important installation requirement: systemd is usually installed by default in a standard installation (even if different...

Run systemctl on Debian 11 Docker gets "Failed to connect to bus"
I just built an image from Dockerhub and installed systemd: FROM debian:bullseye ENV ANSIBLE_USER=ansible SUDO_GROUP=sudo DEPLOY_GROUP=deployer RUN apt-get install -y --no-install-recommends sudo systemd systemd-sysv # Add non-privileged user RUN set -xe \ && groupadd -r ${ANSIBLE_USER} \ &a...

Re: VirtualBox 6.1.18 on Bullseye?
In my eyes this is a political thing Well I suppose there is a "political" element because VirtualBox relies on non-free blobs, which should in itself be a warning sign for Debian users, but the linked bug report does clearly demonstrate how disinterested Oracle are in respect of security...

Re: Bullseye RC2 couldn't make international keyboard work
This is very sad I got no answer. Official documentation is outdated and have the obscure comment There is much on this page that is out of date for Stretch - needs a total rewrite by someone that knows more than I do. The names for the international keyboard layouts changed between jessie and stret...

Re: Apt does not work after successful installation of Debia
Looks like a bug in the installation of RC1. I edited the file /etc/apt/sources.list and there was this line doubled, and just one of them already commented: # deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux bullseye-DI-rc1 _Bullseye_ - Official Snapshot amd64 DVD Binary-1 20210415-20:26]/ bullseye contrib main deb cdr...
