OCD=Obsessive-compulsive disorder But I'm mostly very picky.
So basically, don't pay attention to what gparted is showing? I actually have 30GB even though gparted shows less?

Re: Partition size not accurate
Then why is it the correct size on my older machine and not my laptop? I used Debian's installer for both. Is it the DE? MATE vs. Gnome? Gnome boots fine, but my OCD tells me to re-install  Since my laptop has a UEFI BIOS, should I use strictly UEFI, UEFI & CSM or one or the other? What nu...

Re: Delaying a startup app
Create a new text file and type () then leave it somewhere, done? Now open a terminal and execute (), is it the same? Leaving files resting on your hard drive is not like executing 'em, and music is not like non-free drivers! Stability is not measured by inches, stability is a broad term, and in th...

Re: Updates
Probably you have unattended-upgrades package active. There was a security upgrade for systemd and the kernel on July 20. Check if you have the current version of systemd and you will know your upgrades are happening. It should be systemd 241-7~deb10u8 . apt list --installed systemd family@hp-lin:~...

Synaptic has 'Removal' and 'Complete removal' and also in "status" I think a 'Residual Configurations', I don't have any right now... You likely have an unpurged desktop file causing the menu entry. locate firefox.desktop I watched synaptic as it uninstalled FF, and it purged the files Te...
