Re: [Software] phpmyadmin

The last two times I installed Debian I chose to have /var and /home on different partitions. This time it is only swap that has it's own partition. I removed the cdrom from the sources.list file (I kind of think this fixed a lot of stuff as no PHP 8 software got installed.) I installed apache2 and ...

Re: [Software] phpmyadmin

There is no phpmyadmin database so http://localhost/phpmyadmin throws the message. I wonder if exporting the phpmyadmin database from machine X and importing it to mach...

Re: [Software] fstab

And it's the word 'defaults' not "default" ugh rookie mistake.
Is it okay to tab out the entries so they are columnar?
and should I remove the ",discard" from the other two rows?

Re: [Software] fstab

Well I changed the fstab and had the same result. When I restarted it did this again. "You are in emergency mode. After logging in, type "journalctl -xb" (it goes off the picture I took...) "system logs, "systemctl reboot", to reboot, "systemctl default" or &q...

[Best-Of] Returning to Debian

I started my Linux journey in the late 1990's Debian Hamm and ran it for several years moving through the updates to Etch. Life, carrier, kids all came along, mostly carrier and I left Linux behind. I've been in technology sense 1989, so many changes in so many ways, from 13 inch terminals to 30 inc...
