Re: HP 470 g9 Debian external monitor dont works
inxi -GSaz is better WRT graphics issues, particularly when more than one display is involved. Please paste it like you did inxi already. Also, please attach Xorg.0.log rather than pasting. Find it either in /var/log/ or ~/.local/share/xorg/ if it exists at all. Sometimes it will include a digit ot...

Re: Migrating to new hardware: No Audio + No Graphical accelaration
You don't tell us enough. What model CPU? Google will point you to Intel's page that says when it was released. Is your CPU/GPU/Alder Lake/Xe newer than your Debian? If so, you may need a backport kernel and/or some special tweaks to your kernel cmdline in Grub.

Re: Debian fails to boot on NVMe M.2 disk after UEFI install
If LVM is on NVME, and NVME can't be found, then neither can LVM. What messages do you see before "Gave up waiting"? When was "some time ago"? Where is the NVME installed? Are you sure your motherboard supports boot from NVME? Is the M.2 on the motherboard, or an adapter of some ...

Re: Debian 12 on a mid 2009 Macbook Pro (Wifi)
Usually modprobe only prints messages if something goes wrong. Either use modprobe's -v option to enable messages, or use the lsmod command before and after (filtered through grep to limit noise; and sort, to make it easier to spot what you're looking for) to see what changed among loaded modules. W...

Re: invert colors results in extremely bright, white unreadable screen #20
Extra information may allow someone to offer additional troubleshooting steps. All I see is your GPU, Debian 12 and X11 - nothing about the WM or DE: If you switch from any to another, does the problem continue? What if you try Wayland instead of X11?

Re: black screen after login
From the VT login as root, does systemctl restart sddm appear to have any useful effect? Can you find any clues scanning through dmesg or journalctl? Capture Xorg.0.log from /var/log/ or ~/.local/share/xorg/ to attach here or upload to http://paste.debian.net/. It may provide clues to what goes wron...

Re: invert colors results in extremely bright, white unreadable screen #20
Your AMD GPU may be switched to using the same X display driver "modesetting" as is used with your Intel. If you make that adjustment, does the problem persist? To make the switch, a simple way is to uninstall xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu, then restart either X or the whole computer. To switc...

If you wish to determine what your problem is, find a way to get one long enough to test. I've seen them for sale for as little as $2US.

Re: [Software] A line by height of 1 pixel appears on my screen since 2 days ago
I don't think it's a Monitor problem ; since it works well before GNOME starts up .... Video mode switches at various times between POST and reaching your login screen. Here's the config info : http://paste.debian.net/1315514/ Do you plan to try a HDMI cable? If your PC's display has no HDMI port, ...

Re: [Software] A line by height of 1 pixel appears on my screen since 2 days ago
Possibly you can eliminate the problem by using a digital monitor connection (HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, USB-C) instead of analog (VGA). Digital display connections generally omit two digital⇔analog conversion steps in getting an original image onto a computer display. Your choice of pastebin doesn't a...

I created the file in X11 directory with the name You said and copy-pasted the config script ..... If /etc/X11/xorg.conf does not exist, and no files currently exist in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/, or if any that exist contain no uncommented line that contains 'Section "Device"', then you may create a file named 15-intel.conf with the following content: Section "Device" Identifier &...

Re: TDE desktop environment not loading after login
You may wish to consult the TDE mailing lists . I don't remember seeing any complaints there from Buster users lately, but I suspect there aren't any 14.0.13 users left there. 14.1.2 is due before 1 May. If I were you, I would get upgraded to 14.1.1 now, and in a few days to 14.1.2. All my Debian in...

Did you just upgrade to 12.5 2 days ago, or change anything else in the past 2 days? What you describe is a possible result of a display failure. It's possible a driver switch could make a difference. Please paste output from: inxi -GSaz --vs Note: I could see neither image, as your image host requi...

How would you know if you don't try? Is it just a test, or a fix? Either way, it's not meant as permanent.

Re: [Video] amdgpu: amdgpu_cs_query_fence_status failed.
I don't know how many choices that represents. Since you are using a Wayland selection, try any X11 selection.
