Re: Packages Wheezy backports

Backports are now part of official repositories :

Code: Select all

deb http://http.debian.net/debian/ wheezy-backports main
-----

If this repositories are nearly empty, that's normal : you need time before backports come and Wheezy just came out.

Re: STEAAAAAAM!!!!

If you use multiarch (and you probably do if you use Steam) there should be no problem.
But if you don't tell us what is the dpkg's error, we won't be able to help you.

Wheezy won't be released until it is done (=debugged).
And it is not done yet.

It is date-sensitive, I have noticed the change at a time I hadn't done any upgrade.

Re: best games that run on debian ??

You can try playonlinux which is an esay-to-use user-friendly interface to some scripts to install and play popular Windows games, but it uses Wine (in the background, you won't even notice it).

I don't know of any other way than Wine to use Windows applications under Debian.

Re: getting errors when issued the command apt-get dist-upg

Sir I have googled a lot and tried all the ways to solve unmet dependencies but none succeeded. If you really tried ALL the ways, and none succeeded, it does mean that your system's situation is hopeless. Or maybe you didn't really try all the ways? What is in your /etc/apt/sources.list? What is in...

Have you tried with aptitude?

Actually I have a 0.28% ratio for peer downloads…

I have set no default release.

No exceptions in my logs, but it is filled with timeouts !

You are right : no download/upload from peers…
I will try setting MIN_DOWNLOAD_PEERS to 0, and see if I start downloading form peers.
