Unfortunately for the next month or so can`t try anything as not at home so using laptop, which has PCLinux not Debian Squeeze on but I did update all packages as it suggested with no joy. Hopefully by time I get back onto Debian on home pc it will have been sorted

I installed every single update and rebooted, still same errors even though system update check says my system is up to date so although it says it updates Cairo plugins, the plugins do not seem to actually be updated.

I am glad to hear it, I`m tempted to try and get Flash working via wine to see if it works better than the Linux one. I`m trying to find something like QT4wine for Squeeze at moment as am used to gui`s for Wine.

Thanks for that. I rebooted after editing it and it shows in the manager doesn`t let me edit it but hopefully next time I plug my phone in I can just switch back to the correct connection

I did the steps you describe and tried it in IceWeasel. I know some greasemonkey scripts work on Chrome so I just clicked the install button.

Haven`t found a greasemonkey script yet that didn`t install as an extension on Chrome so it was worth a try, and it worked

I could have done, I did it this way on Lenny, but I had already downloaded the deb from the site and wanted to check if it was safe to try installing it given that it was for Lenny.

I read your post and installed the 64bit Lenny version of the new release and it installs fine, seems to run fine too

The VirtualBox website have a 64 bit deb for installation available for AMD64 Lenny but not for Squeeze. Is it okay to install the Lenny package on Squeeze or would this cause a problem?

Sorry, I should have explained I do add the / I just didn`t say so in previous post as was just mentioning the general location but yes with a / it does show a blank file.
