I got curious so I went ahead and tried the version 1.8.9 from Testing which indeed does 320, while 2.0.2 from Unstable scores 487.

Try using aptitude, they say its dependency resolving skills are more efficient than apt-get. I have tried and the solution offered was viable, although it was leaving one (a recommend) dependency unresolved. I also have to mention that I have a mixed system with all repos enabled and some packages ...
