Re: ( closed )Trying to install debian without all bloatware

Does it have to be xfce? (*Might be heresy*) Look at WattOS. It's a Debian "derivative" which only uses the Debian Repositories. More of a customized Debian. Lightweight. It used the LXDE DE. Doesn't have media player, office as in LibreOffice - although it has office, as in Document Viewe...

LOL! I bought an old ThinkPad that was 2 BIOS updates behind I wanted to easily update it. I've lost count of the times I used a Linux LiveCD to save someone's Windows. I never contemplated using a Windows LiveCD - in this case Hirens Boot CD PE. I came across https://easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot.c...

Re: Adding drivers to installation?

If you have non-free-firmware in your sources list you should find firmware-iwlwifi.

This is a new feature in Debian 12, and it is designed to make it easier for users t...

Re: Bootable .iso file

What firmware do you need?
Since bookworm, non-free firmware is allowed to be included in the official installation media, so firmware should be no problem anymore for installation.
