Re: Do we hae generative AI similar to chatgpt in our archives?
@Aki, thank you. There is definitely a difference between what happens on the cloud and what happens locally. The software I mentioned/shared above happens to run locally. It may not have all the bells or whistles, doesn't need to. It just needs to be like a toy, something that people can play it and...

Re: changed its 'Codename' value from 'experimental' to 'rc-buggy'
Everyone needs to see https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo ... ug=1019691. Just got the above today and wanted to find more about it hence saw that bug report. Still reading through it too. It probably is documented somewhere better than just in the BTS..

Re: shrink images using mogrify what am I doing wrong ?
Mogrify overwrites the original. The error seems to mean your originals are not in "output_directory". Use convert instead: convert <source> options <destination> I actually copied the originals in ouput_directory and still get the same error. ~/Pictures/output_directory$ ls pmc-1.jpg pmc...

Actually in retext there is something called document stats that gives you running commentary on character count. Solves my issue for the present, thank you

Re: word count in gedit or/and l3afpad
Actually wanted character count, not word count. Did find something but seems there are issues even with that and that needs the wordcount-plugin to play good

Re: why am I have KDE terminal in my guake terminal ?
Have you scanned through all of the guake settings to see if any of them reference konsole? Which settings and where ? If you right click on the guake icon in the system tray and then select preferences. Oh I did. Anyways, I did find the solution which is not a solution, just remove kde-terminal on...

Re: why am I have KDE terminal in my guake terminal ?
At least do OP the favour and read the entire thread. :D We've been over the guake.desktop thing. I know, but OP never confirmed they checked. Just so if it wasn't obvious, I did check and no there is no .guake.desktop in my /home/shirish/ For the person asking about it the keyboard shortcuts for o...

Re: why am I have KDE terminal in my guake terminal ?
Have you scanned through all of the guake settings to see if any of them reference konsole? Which settings and where ? The only other one which could have something is - ~/.config/guake$ cat session.json { "schema_version": 2, "timestamp": 1640807390, "workspace": { &q...

Re: why am I have KDE terminal in my guake terminal ?
Is any KDE stuff even installed? KDE stuff is installed. I somehow need to figure out how to tell guake not to let KDE terminal run in it. How to tell that is a mystery to me yet as on this reboot, the KDE terminal stuff is back in this session :( Some more info. $guake --version Guake Terminal: 3....

Re: why am I have KDE terminal in my guake terminal ?
That is precisely the issue. I had actually tried to figure that out and even the binary is where it is supposed to be -
Code: Select all
$ ls -l /usr/bin/guake
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 159 Nov 7 21:06 /usr/bin/guake
