Solved - GPA - fault during its start in GPGME and Assuan
Hello, I'm trying to use GPA - GNU Privacy Assistant - installed from debian repository. When I start the program, comes an error message, that library GPGME sent back unexpected fault and this fault is some general error in Assuan. Program itself has then a lot of problems during its running. Actua...

Re: Squeeze and Compiz
It mentions xorg.conf which does not exist where it tells me to look. Create your own new /etc/X11/xorg.conf (just type to terminal as root: "gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf - write there what you want and save it) and put there: Section "Extensions" Option "Composite" "enabl...

Re: Compiled Wine, problem with D3D support, any ideas?
Hello Alex, thank you for your response. I finally solved the problem, found somewhere, that to run direct3d operations in Debian Linux through Wine, it is necessary to install also so called "libwine-gl" package (wine external package), in the same version as the installed Wine package. I...

[SOLVED] Compiled Wine, problem with D3D support, any ideas?
Hello, I've tried to compile Wine myself, because from installed deb package, there were even more errors, while I tried to run the same program, than after my compilation itself, but it still does not work. Do you have an idea how to fix this? Thank you! fixme:d3d_caps:wined3d_guess_card No card se...

Re: PS2 Mouse on laptop Compaq Evo N610c, Squeeze - doesn't
Well, I think so, that there is a problem with PS/2 port, but I also think so, that there has to be some causation, why this happens. It is too easy to say just ps2 port is broken somehow and so, it is unsolvable. Because: 1. track point and touchpad don't react properly up to the bios settings. 2. ...

Re: PS2 Mouse on laptop Compaq Evo N610c, Squeeze - doesn't
So I'm just trying Ubuntu LiveCD, mouse still does not work, I think that there is some inner problem, which should be solved, to let it work properly, but if there are not any other ideas, problem goes probably under the ground on the graveyard.
So anyway, thanks a lot for your support!

Re: PS2 Mouse on laptop Compaq Evo N610c, Squeeze - doesn't
Hello again, notion to your amazement: yes, it has both the track point and touchpad, maybe the problem rises from internal conflict between external mouse, track point and touchpad, because in BIOS is also possibility to chose both touchpad and track point, only touchpad, only track point or nothin...

Re: PS2 Mouse on laptop Compaq Evo N610c, Squeeze - doesn't
So you think, that the problem could be, that touchpad is recognized as PS/2 mouse and so, there is a conflict between real ps/2 mouse/port and touchpad, which works in OS like PS/2 mouse? According to those thread, which I also had have read before, if I understand it well, it is necessary to chang...

Re: PS2 Mouse on laptop Compaq Evo N610c, Squeeze - doesn't
Hello, no, both of your advices do not show anything interesting about just plugged mouse. This is strange, it seems like OS does not recognize any changes about the PS/2 port. I also tried to flash bios, I made it, but without change for the recognition of PS/2 plugged staff. I found also this: PS/...

Re: PS2 Mouse on laptop Compaq Evo N610c, Squeeze - doesn't
Yes, the red light shines, since I plug it in. Modprobe psmouse doesn't help, mouse cursor just hides for a while, till I use a touchpad. /etc/rsyslog.d/ remains empty. /etc/rsyslog.conf doesn't show me something interesting - some advices how to find, what you exactly need, to recognize some effect...
