Re: [PARTIALLY SOLVED] Problems with NetworkManager

Can you add somemore info in case other people find the thread later on? apt policy network-manager wpasupplicant nmcli --terse Are there any network filesystems mounted when it hangs, or anything in background using the connection? I still use NetworkManager on bullseye, it's quite a bit better tha...

Re: Radeon failed VCE resume

I think using AMDGPU instead of radeon driver would depend on your hardware, if the required non-free firmware is installed I'd think this should be decided automatically, but maybe for some older or transitional cards you'd have to help with a simple snippet around /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d Please don't...

Re: What firmware for RTL8821CE?

If it is [10ec:c821] then there's already a driver in the kernel on bullseye. Modinfo command can tell you what firmwares the driver will want, appears it needs none from here. lwfinger usually includes firmwares in source, or instructions for obtaining it. I suppose one of the modules it depends on...

Maybe something got out of whack when you were running 'sudo su' commands to fix the other problem? https://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=150187&sid=3549af6c4513b11ec6193ca82e464c11 I found this searching for 'portal pid: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NameHasNoOwner:' https://bbs.archl...

Nice upgrade thanks

I'm using an installation that started as stretch sometime around 2017. This is the second time upgrading, and it went ok. I read the forum, and I appreciate all the answers these last few years, I remember borked systems by not following the upgrade instructions. It's easy to do, sometimes one mist...

Re: Settings Display Laptop ?

looks like wrong driver being used? is any firmware missing? Probably should be using open source AMDGPU driver for this newer board.

if you have a lot of lines beginning with VESA in the xorg log, then wrong driver.

You do know you can run PA through JACK, right? There is no need to kill PA at all. I know that and I even know why I don't want to do that. It is a bit - let's say - non-standard to call someone an idiot here, but from a ****** ARSEHOLE like yourself what can you expect... Thank god someone said i...

Re: cannot kill pulseaudio

I did read it, it does exactly what I tried (I tried with and wiithout the demon-binary setting) and it does not work here (it should though). This is just the "standard" thing to try. If that is all you have to offer (and it seems you don't know anything about the problem at hand from yo...
