Maybe the Testing image is broken, you could try another one, e.g. the business card or your ISO is corrupted, check the md5sum or maybe burn another ISO with the slowest speed.

As far as I know it is the same maintainer as for Iceweasel 3.5. It is absolutely secure to use it, it is not from Mozilla, it is a Debian repo. I use it even on Testing because it is faster in releasing the newest Iceweasel than Testing itself.
