Maybe the Testing image is broken, you could try another one, e.g. the business card or your ISO is corrupted, check the md5sum or maybe burn another ISO with the slowest speed.

Is ntfs-3g installed?

Just what I thought at the beginning, to look at alsamixer, is the first thing I would do.

Without any further information about your issue we can only make guesses in the dark what could be the problem.

What have you tried already to debug the problem?

I love women and they should have their club.

Maybe here in Europe/North America they are treated better but only better not perfect but in some corners that is still not the case.

will give you all the needed hardware specs.

It is not in Squeeze, why, no idea, but you can get it from Testing.

I wonder why it is taking long time to release v3.6.x to stable or its backports. v3.6.x has been out for a very long time. :) Also not a problem, just take a look at the same repo I suggested and change the release part to version 3.6. The repo should then look like this: deb htt...

As far as I know it is the same maintainer as for Iceweasel 3.5. It is absolutely secure to use it, it is not from Mozilla, it is a Debian repo. I use it even on Testing because it is faster in releasing the newest Iceweasel than Testing itself.
