Re: xscreensaver bug
Perhaps it could have been worded better, but there was no need to post a response like that using that site especially. I would not have started this thread had I not searched for the issue beforehand. I would like a moderator to remove the thread please.

Re: xscreensaver bug
Thank you for a sensible suggestion arochester, I will see if the other screensavers are of use to me without pulling in too many deps.

Re: Annoying: This version of xscreensaver is VERY OLD!
Don't try and be funny, you think that people still don't try and fix the issue first themselves. As you can see there is no debian stable solution. No help at all.

I'm running debian jessie with everything updated, so why is this stupid message popping up each time my computer starts and the screensaver is active? Help on fixing this issue would be greatly ...

[SOLVED] Getting keyboard volume keys working with lxde?
I'm having trouble getting keyboard volume keys working with lxde. I have tried a couple of methods found on another forum, but they did not work. I'm currently using wheezy.

Re: High cpu usage in XFCE
I have compositing disabled and I'm using the proprietary nvidia driver. I'm at work at the moment so I can't check if mesa-utils is installed, I'm pretty sure it is as 3D games run fine.

High cpu usage in XFCE
I have noticed really high cpu usage when dragging a window around using XFCE 4.8 in wheezy. I have checked the process using top, and it seems xorg is the culprit. The usage spikes to over 50% when doing so.

Re: Error compiling gelide
I compiles fine using normal make. It wont compile when the source is debianised. I have tried this on x64 squeeze also.

Re: Failed message on boot
I found the cause of my problem. I use an SSD and one of the tmpfs lines in /etc/fstab is causing the error.

I think that has something to do with vmware.
