Installed comic sans cursor (comixcursors-righthanded), did update-alternatives --all, updatedb, rebooted, and did not get comic sans, but my default one. What am I doing wrong?

I just updated to Jessie today, left systemd installed on purpose (later on i will nuke it).

No problems with shutting down or rebooting the machine.

Ultimately, you have to live with yourself. If you're not happy, NOBODY around you will be happy.
Let Linus and the nvidia dickheads work it out. Get the mac and be happy, or use Stable like me, but mine is an integrated intel one.

Launch the terminal, become root and type this:

I don't use kde/gnome, but try putting this in your .xinitrc:
and then try 'startx' in the console OR 'startkde (this is a shot in the dark)
