Are they being listed in the "played list" or have they been added to any play list? You haven't mentioned where they are listed, this could be a big part of why they are listed. Just an idea though

Good Luck to you dude, I my best friend was had almost the same diagnosis a few years back - he was in the early part of Stage 3. He made a fighting recovery in under a year and I am sure you will too
