Hi,

came back to Debian 4.0. Installation from network was sucessfull with boot option boot: install acpi=off
After installation I've added follow options to the /grub/menu.lst: apci=force pci=noacpi
ACPI and PCMIA work well now.

have you tried the sidux livecd? Just tested it. SIDUX-2007-01-200702210759-CHAOS - does not detect PCMCIA cards as well. have you tried looking at what modules are loaded and if any are loaded in the working configuration but not the non-working one loading those modules manually? No. How I can do...

Probably, same thing is already reported:

i think it is more likely a problem with support for the pcmcia/cardbus controller than with the cards. what does lspci say if run in the installer. what kind of installation media are you using? It does show 2 CardBus bridges: ... 00:02.0 CardBus bridge: Texas Instruments PCI1251A 00:02.1 CardBus ...

I have tested few rt8139 drivers from installer's list but not sucessful. Same thing happened with 3COM 3CCFE575CT card - no Ethernet HW has been detected. Could it be kernel problem with PCMCIA cards?
