anyway a program you will want to have a look at is logrotate to cycle your logs through.. just make sure you get a backup of the logfiles periodically becuase you never know when you are going to need them

Delete the /var/log/vsftpd.log and try commenting out the syslog_enable and restarting vsftp

syslog_enable=YES redirects ALL logging to syslog (/var/log/syslog) If you want to keep a separate log for vsftpd as it sounds like you do, you will need to commend out the syslog_enable directive

I'm using a ubuntu live cd now to decide if i go back to debian or over to ubuntu...from fedora and yeah.. real FF is a deal breaker for me, and im getting lazy as i get older and rolling my own binaries isnt my style anymore ... :S
