[Software] console screen resolution on guest vm's
Hello Im using Virt-manger 4.1 to host my guest virtual machines. On some of them I use only a console. In order to have a larger console, I changed the settings of all my guest vm's by increasing the vgamem with the virtsh. Then I changed /etc/default/grub GRUB_GFXMODE=1600x900 GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD_LINU...

Re: Extract gpg keys from keyring trustdb.gpg
Also thanks form my side @Head_on_a_Stick. I wonder why nobody asked this question ever before? @sunrat : sure this is an example to add another repository. Its of course a great opportunity to mess ones system up. Lot of people did this 14 years ago by adding ubuntus repos into debians sources.list...

For example, if I download the gpg key from Kali Linux I put in gpg --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 --recv-keys ED444F...

how to dump Blocklayer Multipath
Hello out there, for quite a while the kernels block layer has been enhanced by a multipath component which has the same purpose as the network layers multipath: finding the fastest way for data to been written or been transferred. Its good for elaborate storage solutions over network e.g. But I don...

Re: virt-manager general resolution of guest systems
Sorry for the late answer.
- I evoked the virt-shell (virsh) and edited the domain of my VM.
- Within the domain document I changed the vgamem from 16384 tp 65536
- I already changed the screen resolution in /etc/default/grub which are now effective, after this action

Hello out there, I installed a pure SID system on a VM to have a test environment. On my main system I use testing as the default with some packages from Sid and I do this of course with pinning. virt-manager general resolution of guest systems
Hello out there, I want to change the general screen resolution of the guest I manage with virt-manager/kvm. I think there was a virt-shell command to do that. The reason is, that I often install guest systems without a X-server and I want to have a higher screen resolution without touching the grub...

Reattach a detached process
Hello out there,
one question: can I detache a user-process as normal-user, in order to lett this process running even if I lock off and close my user session?
And, if its possible, how can I reattach this process?
Thank you in advance.
