I'm not certain it is relevant in this case, but nvidia-driver 525.85.12-1 and kernel 6.1.11-1 are currently in unstable so may shortly be upgraded in testing. By using the upstream driver rather than the Debian nvidia-driver package you will have to run the patch every time the kernel is upgraded....

Had the same issue but is fixed by adding non-free-firmware to your apt config.
