Does anybody of word count plugin for either geidt or l3afpad. In both there is no wordcount plugin that I can install :(

There is this I saw but this is probably 8 years too late, dunno.

If you "dunno", why don't you try it and find out?
If it doesn't work any more (and I don't see why it wouldn't), feel free to fix it, it's all of 51 lines of python.

Actually wanted character count, not word count. Did find something but seems there are issues even with that and that needs the wordcount-plugin to play good :(

Actually in retext there is something called document stats that gives you running commentary on character count. Solves my issue for the present, thank you :)

Well, there's a pull request for the in your first link that adds char count, but if you can't be arsed even trying the plugin to see if it works, I guess you're not going to grab a pull either. :roll:
