Evolution bug
Evolution bug
I am having some problems receiving e-mails on the evolution program, before it was working fine but in the last days I receive a notification then it never shows the new messages.
I am using evolution 3.38.3-1 with Debian stable 11. Not sure what additional info I should provide. I have other machine with debian sid and evolution works fine with the more recent version.

Re: Evolution bug
I can only inform you that for the moment we ( 4 users ) under Debian 11 do not experience any problem with mail program " evolution " .
Providing the community with some more information about the problem you are having is definitely recommended.
Also maybe ? ... post in an appropriate section ?

OK, I thought maybe you meant an error message.fch wrote: ↑2022-01-27 19:11The desktop notification of new emails, from MATE DE in this case.
So these emails do not appear anywhere in the Evolution GUI itself?
Is it possible they have been filtered out of the inbox?
Is your email service one where you are able to view the emails online (Gmail, Hotmail etc)? Can you see them there?
Re: Evolution bug
1.Yes, exactly. I tested on another machine with debian sid, and it works as expected.FreewheelinFrank wrote: ↑2022-01-28 06:58OK, I thought maybe you meant an error message.

2.I do not know for sure, but very unlikely as it works with the newer version on debian sid
3.yes, I can see them on the browser, also on my phone(that I use the geary email client)
Onother aspect to consider is that I use POP mail on my machine, at my office there are other people using debian stable with evluion in IMAP mode that they receive normally the email messages.
Re: Evolution bug
How stupid I am, I found what was wrong, the "unwanted" messages was set to not be show...and I got those 5 email messages that were classified as unwanted(not spam) and I was getting the notifications on the desktop not there were not in my inbox.
Sorry for posting it as an "evolution bug", the bug was in my brain.
