Dolphin can't access files in Android

#1 Post by Kromitvs »

Hello

I have an Android phone, Xiami A1. When I connect it to Debian, via USB, change the connection mode to MTP (File Transfers) in the device and then go to Dolphin, I see there a new device called Android,

However, when I try to open any folder I get an error. For instance, for the Alarms folder:

Code: Select all

Could not enter folder /Mi A1/Internal shared storage/Alarms.
I don't know what the problem is. Are there any logs?

Or a solution would also be great, of course!

Any help appreciated,

Just something I have to do with one Android phone, but not another: open a new instance of Dolphin to be able to access the phone. I know it's weird.

Alternatively -- it it doesn't work out -- you could also try KDE Connect, since you're already using Dolphin. It does a few things more, but also file transfer.

That didn't work, but I noticed I can access files in the root. I just can't open folders. It feels like a permissions issue. Where are permission set in this case?
