They already do!
And have for awhile now.:-)
Just try to post as a guest...from a different computer or browser. :-)

If possible, don't let guests have rights to post links and pictures...

If you really wanted to offer a guest a way to post then maybe create a actual guest account with guest as the password and list it alongside the login area? maybe? just a thought-crazy as usual
Now there's an idea. How about the guest having to use a temporary password which is good for say a week? The psswd could be generated for each guest from the system much as that image is when a user registers - the image with the wiggled numbers and letters. The guest would have to enter that alpha-numeric whenever logging in.

I made a comment here a couple days ago about the intellect of people who revive dead threads, but it got deleted. This was evidently a temporary situation a year or so ago.

To sum up: Guest posting is allowed. It has been like that for a long long time and unless something drastic happens it's likely to stay that way. Guests need to solve a captcha on every post in order to prevent spam.

Should anyone feel the need to discuss the current arrangement please open a new thread in the feedback section. I'm closing this thread since it's really an announcement about a temporary situation a year ago.
